nah..u know what i'm gettin at...it's a matter of taste tho i guess..and a matter of where ya sit on politics...really i guess you have to experience some of the real life things they relate in their songs...i saw em in hawaii in sept 92..and i saw em in cleveland last may..they have changed..but some of their best songs have surfaced on their last few albums...marker in the sand, thumbing my way, love boat captain etc...i've always liked em tho...like i said..matter of taste...i like metal, grunge, heavy, alt., classic rock...if i had to listen to rap and country i'd prolly just rip out my eyes and puncture my ears..lol

one thing cool about them tho...u can go see em live on friday and download the whole concert really cheap on their sit on monday...they are nowhere near as huge as when grunge was all the rage and everyone ran round lookin like lumberjacks as if they had just came from a logging expedition...but they have tons of fans..and their concerts are events in themselves. They do need to come south tho.

hmm...funny because last summer u.s.a. today named them the top american rock band. EVER. pearl jam is not mainstream but they do have a very large fan base of very loyal fans all over the world. and to not come to the south just because of differences in politics is a shame to me.

Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands...Ten is probably one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time. The last one was their best in years in my opinion.

yes the last one was very good. sounds great live also.
i have saw them twice. once in asheville in 04 and in cleveland this year with suprbeast.
also to those haters out there, go to one pearl jam show. see the love the band has for the fans that are there, the love the fans have for the band. see the way the band feeds off of the crowd. see vedder get drunk. see a three hour marathon of a show. see mccready's killer solos. watch one of the best drummers around go at it. if you ever see them, you'll change ur mind.
